八段锦是一套起源于北宋、具有八百多年历史的独立而完整的健身功法。此功法分为八段,每段一个动作,故名为“八段锦”。
Baduanjin is a independent and complete fitness technique that originated during the Northern Song Dynasty and has a history of over 800 years. The technique is divided into eight sections, each consisting of one movement, hence the name "Baduanjin."

八段锦最早在北宋时期流传于世,并分为坐势和立势。古人将这套动作比喻为“锦”,意为五颜六色、美丽华贵,体现了其动作的舒展优美,并视其为“祛病健身,效果极佳;编排精致;动作完美”。现代的八段锦在内容和名称上均有所变化,但基本保留了其原有的精髓。
Baduanjin was first passed down to the world during the Northern Song Dynasty and can be divided into seated and standing styles. The ancients metaphorically referred to this set of movements as "brocade," meaning colorful, beautiful, and luxurious, which reflects its graceful and flowing movements. They regarded it as "excellent for dispelling diseases and fitness; exquisite arrangement with perfect movements" Modern Baduanjin has undergone changes in both content and name but has largely retained its original essence.

动作与功效
八段锦的练习无需器械,不受场地限制,简单易学,节省时间。在练习时,应注意动作的准确性和连贯性,并配合呼吸方法(吸气时腹肌收缩凹腹隆胸,呼气时腹肌舒张凸腹陷胸),以达到更好的健身效果。
