Li Xianghua started from her colorful life during her doctoral studies at Edinburgh University, and introduced the similarities and differences between European graduate students and those from other countries in terms of training methods, length of schooling, scholarships, etc. For example, many graduate programs in European universities do not require the publication of articles; Some research institutes with outstanding performance in professional fields may not be good at ranking. By sharing her experience of being admitted to the University of Edinburgh successfully after facing difficulties and difficulties in academic choice, Li Xianghua encouraged students to cherish the platform they now have and make efforts. "The school and campus provide many exchange opportunities for students, so we should grasp them in time."

Qiu Weiwei helped students sort out the application process of European universities. "Language achievements, scientific research experience and published papers are all added points." Qiu Weiwei put forward suggestions to schools applying for Southern Europe, "GPA is not the most important, we should contact more tutors, create opportunities for ourselves, and have long-term plans for ourselves." Qiu Weiwei mentioned that studying in southern Europe has several advantages: the sunny weather, the balance of life and work in southern Europe will keep people happy. In southern Europe, not only high-quality research, but also international recognition of universities is good.

Wang Yong first showed the students his resume of the school he applied for. He suggested that students avoid popular titles when applying, and try to be relevant to the research interests of the applicant tutor. When contacting the tutor's email, you should list your advantages in the letter, and put other experience suggestions in the attachment of your resume. During the application process, keep regular communication with the tutor.

During the exchange session, the three professors replied in detail to the students' questions about how to establish a confident attitude, choose a major according to their interests, how to understand whether a tutor is appropriate, the help of one-year master's degree in applying for a doctor, and the trial and error in choosing a doctoral degree.

I would like to thank the three teachers for sharing their own experience of studying in Europe, which made me very interested in studying in Europe. In the question and answer session, I put forward my confusion about learning, and the three teachers provided detailed guidance and suggestions. After the activity, the teachers were nice to continue to communicate with us. Thank you very much.

Class 2020 Biomedical Undergraduate Chen Zhitian

The three teachers shared their further education experience in the UK, southern Europe and northern Europe, and the students here had a more intuitive understanding of studying abroad in Europe. Compared with hard results, it is more important to have in-depth and long-term communication with interested tutors in the application. Thank the Academy for creating valuable opportunities for us to communicate directly with teachers.
