President Jin Yucheng made a comparative analysis of several American universities and introduced the similarities and differences of CS master programs in different universities with his own experience as an example. "Some projects may require preparation for internship before they come, and internship opportunities are as important as scientific research."

He shared his experience in terms of "hard power" and "soft power" in terms of internship preparation after applying for master's degree. "Hard power" is mainly about his own academic and language achievements. He reminded students to pay special attention to oral performance when "refreshing" language achievements. In "soft power", the recommendation letter is particularly important. A convincing recommendation letter is also a proof of your strength. He specifically introduced the summer research projects of UChicago, UC Davis, North Carolina State, Notterdam and Berkeley. Compared with these visible "strengths", he believed that the most important thing was to have their own plans. "The choice should be based on their own plans and follow their own decisions." He suggested that students make the most appropriate choice based on their own conditions.

He suggested that students should cherish the interview opportunity, conduct simulation training before the interview, and constantly accumulate experience from the interviews they have participated in. "It is also helpful to pay close attention to the career planning channels of the campus and college." Knowledge reserve is as important as interview experience.
